THE BURIED WORLD

This is the front door, and it is standing open. Past it is a small, haunted, ridiculously colourful place with three echoes hidden in it. Find all three and the sun comes up.

🔊 Turn your sound on. Not decoration — the echoes sing, and the singing is how you find them.

• Follow your ears. Each echo has its own song and it swells the closer you get. Wander, listen, and turn toward whatever is getting louder.
• Two in any order, then the third. The first two can be found in whichever order you stumble across them. The third stays hidden until you are holding both — then it opens up and lights up, and you will see it from across the yard.
• Ghouls kill you. Ghosts don't. The pale ones that drift and hum are harmless — ignore them. The ones that come straight at you through the dark are not. They will not cross into the ring around an echo, roughly twenty paces of it, so every echo is somewhere to run to.
